Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there. From the new mom with a brand new baby, just figuring things out, all the way to the experienced mom with lots of grandchildren, this day is for you! What would the world be without mothers? Who would we be without our moms?

I am so, incredibly thankful for my mama! She raised me to be who I am today. She has been everything I ever needed her to be. When I was little, she was my comforter, when I was sick, she was my nurse. When I was in school, she was my teacher. As I grew older, she became my rock when I was unsteady, and she was someone I knew I could confide in. She always pointed me to Jesus, and taught me to depend on Him. She taught me that prayer works, and that even the smallest things matter to God. Over the years, I never realized how much I needed her, and now I’m so thankful that she has become my best friend. I’m a believer that you’re never too old to need your mom. She taught me how to be a mother, and I can only hope to be half the mom to Cooper, that she is to me. She is not only the best mom ever, she’s also the best Grana! I love you so much Mama! I have no idea what I’d do without you.

I also want to say Happy Mother’s Day to my sweet mother in law, Laura. Thank you for raising such an amazing man to be my husband, and thank you for being such a wonderful Nana to Cooper. Also Happy Mother’s Day to my precious Grandma Sue, Grandma Mandy, Vickie, Memaw, and Gran! I love you all so much!

Last Mother’s Day, I was 8 months pregnant, and I was so excited to become a mother. Fast forward to this year, and being a mom is such a joy. I always call Cooper, “My little love.” He really is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Being a mom has been one of the most difficult, wonderful things I have ever done. From breastfeeding to blowouts, from cuddles to crying, from singing to sleepless nights, it has been an incredible journey so far. I am so thankful for my little guy, and now I can’t even imagine my life without him. I mean… what did I even do before him? His stuff takes up just about every inch of our home, and he definitely fills up every empty spot in my heart. I love him to death, and absolutely love being his mama. I can’t wait to have a house full of babies! (But not anytime soon, friends!)

I am so blessed to have such wonderful motherly figures to look up to in my life, and I’m so thankful I have the honor to be one myself. One thing I have learned is that it is impossible for me to be a great mom without the Lord. He has helped me through every obstacle, and given me strength when I had none. I’m so glad I have Him to depend on!

Happy Mother’s Day ladies! I hope you receive the rest you deserve, and get to spend the day with the people you love the most. Thanks so much for all you do!

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Proverbs 31:28-29 She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
