Life as an Evangelist’s Wife

My life is pretty normal. The only difference between my life and anyone else’s, is the fact that I live in an RV, and I travel 9 out of 12 months of the year. I am in revival with my husband and 9 month old pretty much every night of the week. Well, actually my life is kind of unusual!

People ask me all the time how I mange living in an RV and traveling all the time. I always answer and say that “I love it!” Because truthfully I do. Getting to be with my family every day, and serve God together on a weekly basis is better than any life I could’ve chosen for myself. Seeing people come to know the Lord, and witnessing lives being changed under our ministry is such a blessing. I love meeting new people, and seeing different churches and the way others do things. Being in a different town or city is always so interesting. I’ve always loved traveling, so this is basically my dream life.

Living on the road also comes with challenges. Limited space is one of those things. I HATE clutter, but I feel like my house (RV) is often times full of it. I have everything pretty organized most of the time, but all it takes is 5 minutes and it has the potential to be a disaster area. But the positive side to it, is the fact that we don’t have tons of stuff. We try to keep clothes, toys, and random possessions to a minimum.

Our schedule… yeah. What is that? We don’t know, and Cooper definitely doesn’t know. Every day and night looks different for us, so Cooper might be asleep at 10:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. Yes, you read that correctly. We’ve tried schedules, but they always get interrupted. I 100% believe schedules can be a great thing, but it’s almost impossible for us to keep one. The positive side of that, is that no matter what we do, Cooper is usually okay with it. He always just goes with the flow!

I’m young. I’m 19 years old, so most people my age are either in college, or trying to figure their life out. I’m married with a baby, and traveling across the country. Sometimes I miss my family, and I miss stability. Sometimes I let my mind get the best of me, and I feel like I’m not good enough to be a preacher’s wife, or that I’m not equipped for this kind of life. But God always sends someone my way with a word of encouragement, or shows me somehow that this is His will for me. I was chosen for this.

Life isn’t always perfect or easy. Sometimes it’s hectic, and I have no idea what God is doing, but I’m thankful for it. The things I’ve witnessed and the way I’ve seen God move is worth every second of crazy. I love what we do, and I’m always on my toes ready to see what’s going to happen next!

Joshua 24:15 “…choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Luke 14:23 “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

  4. God doesn’t call the qualified – He qualifies the called. HE has called you to be an Evangelistic’s wife, because HE knew you would be wonderful working for HIM and Tyler needed someone like you❤️🙏🏻. I know it takes talent and love for God to live in a RV months- I keep you 3 in my prayers. I hope to see in April, the tent revival. Stay strong – Dillon is always for you 3🙏🏻. Love you
