Little by Little

I’m guilty of being one to pick up a hobby, and a few weeks later, get tired of it and drop it. When something gets a little hard, it’s easier to not worry about it anymore. However, one thing I’ve learned over the years, is that anything worth doing, is going to take time and effort.

Recently, I started making sourdough bread. Let me just say, I had no idea the time and effort that goes into it when I began. It is a ton of trial and error, and it is truly a learned skill. I have so much respect for people who have mastered it. It has taken, and is still taking time for me to learn how to make a proper loaf of bread.

I’m raising my children to be obedient, well-mannered, and respectful. However, they are not naturally that way! It would be silly of me to think after a day or two of discipline that they would be perfect little children.

I’d love to be a professional homemaking, 100% attentive, intentional wife and mother. However, I won’t just wake up one day with all those skills.

I’d love to know everything there is to know about the Bible, and I’d love to always have the right words to say when I pray. I’d love to be a faithful, strong, Godly woman, and never waiver in my faith, but in all reality, each of these things take time to achieve.

It’s easy to get frustrated when things don’t happen immediately, but something I’ve learned is that most things in this life are achieved little by little.

Figure out what God wants you want to do, and who you want to be for the Lord. Decide that within yourself, and trust that He will help you become that person! You just have to trust the process.

Trust that good things aren’t gonna come without a fight. The good things aren’t gonna come without a little work. Most importantly, the good things aren’t gonna come without time.

It never hurts to try a new thing, and it’s a wonderful thing to have goals. Just remember, it doesn’t happen overnight. Every day is a new day, and sooner or later you’ll get there if you keep trying – little by little.

We must be faithful every day. We must be faithful in the little things, so we may one day be faithful in much.

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much:..“
